Catalogue and online resources

HUBCAT, our online catalogue contains general and detailed descriptions of archives held at the Heritage Hub. With over 80,000 records it is increasingly possible to identify sources prior to a visit.

Please note HUBCAT does not yet contain information about all of our holdings - you may want to use Scottish Archive Network for further collection-level information on Scottish Borders archives.

Search for an item from the Local Studies Collection through the online library catalogue.  Search through the items belonging to the Special Collections featuring the works of Sir Walter Scott, James Hogg and Andrew Lang.

Online Resources

The Heritage Hub Blog contains extracts from the diary of Dr J S Muir of Selkirk. A series of 6 podcasts entitled Dr Muir’s War have been recorded and can be listened to through the SoundCloud interface below.

SCRAN is a history and culture website containing images and learning resources, which features the oral history resource complied by local historian Ian Landles.
