Covid-19 & service updates

An update on COVID restrictions – Wednesday 22 December

This week the First Minister announced further requirements for businesses to take measures which are reasonably practicable to minimise the risk of transmission.

Giving you space:

Further to updated Scottish Government guidance, we can confirm that from 26 December (for a period of three weeks to 16 January) all activities across our sports, fitness, libraries, museums and venues we will be introducing a 1-metre physical distancing requirement.

The updated guidance may result in some activities and venues having reduced capacity, so where appropriate we recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

It is still important to look after your physical and mental wellbeing and we are here to support you every step of the way. Safety of customers and staff remains our priority and we continue to take the appropriate measures to ensure a safe and spacious environment; our existing strict hygiene regimes and improved venue ventilation will continue to keep all activities as safe as is possible.

Indoor adult (non-professional) contact sport and physical activity will not be permitted from 26 December for the three week period. We will be in touch with all those affected by this new guidance.

Our indoor hospitality venues will reintroduce physical distancing (1m) between groups (maximum 3 households per group).

Saunas and steam rooms are closed until further updated guidance.

We continue to encourage all customers to test regularly and wear face covering as required.

Additional detailed sector specific guidance will continue to be issued and we will keep you fully informed.

Thank you for your support and we wish you a safe and enjoyable festive period.

We continue to maintain a high standard of hygiene measures across our sites:

  • We ensure high levels of hygiene are maintained
  • Sanitising stations available throughout facilities
  • Ventilation to ensure fresh air continues to circulate
  • Pre-booking to ensure numbers monitored for a comfortable and safe experience
