Groups

There are a number of readers’ groups throughout the region. These are informal groups that meet to discuss titles they have read recently.

New members are always welcome. If you would like to take part in a readers’ group and there are none listed in your area please contact your local library to register your interest.

Peebles Library Reading Group

This is a lively, informal group. They meet every fourth Wednesday at 10:30. They discuss a book of their choice from within the library catalogue.

Details of meeting dates and the book being discussed are available from the library.

Peebles Library Young Readers Group


This is an informal group of P5s to P7s.

They meet every fourth Friday at 14:30 – 15:30. They discuss a book of their choice from within the library catalogue. Details of meeting dates and the book being discussed are available from the library.

Selkirk Library Book Group


This group meet in the library on the first Monday of the month at 19:00 (excluding July and August).

The group reads the same book, using library stock, and discusses it at their meeting.
