John Nichol plays Dr John Stewart Muir who served as medical practitioner for Selkirk Burgh from 1867 – 1928, during which time he delivered 3,344 babies. Delve into the mind and thoughts of Doctor Muir as we take a look through almost 40 diaries from 1899 to 1938.

The Little Match Girl presented by Folksy Theatre

On a freezing New Year Eve a poor young girl, shivering and barefoot, tries to sell matches in the street. She huddles in the alley between two houses and lights matches, one by one, to warm herself.

In the flame of the matches she sees a series of comforting visions: Strange stories and fairy tales come to life around her. This wonderful Christmas story is brought to life with Folksy Theatres use of live music, multi media, puppetry and brilliant story telling. Sure to warm all your hearts on a cold Christmas night.
