Easter Sports Development Camps

Live Borders Sports Development Camps are a new addition to our Easter Activity programme.

Participants will get to try all three activities at the three hour sports camps, which will be fully inclusive offering sport to young people at primary school for all ages. The sports on offer can be adapted to suit the functional ability of each individual and we have additional coaches on hand to provide greater coaching and support. The sports on offer are delivered by trained coaches and aim to be fun and enjoyable. Please dress appropriately for sport and bring water and a snack.

This programme is supported by the Scottish Borders Council and Scottish Government funding.

The camps will focus on the following sports and are for primary school aged participants:

Athletics: The programme delivers run, jump and throw athletics and will provide children the opportunity to take part in athletics in their local community.  The sessions will be delivered by qualified UK Athletics coach.

Gymnastics: The sessions will allow kids to take a part in a structured gymnastics session, a  fun warm up, learning about stretching, basics jumps before finishing on appropriate equipment. If you are new to gymnastics or have been to a club setting before, there will be something to challenge your skills The sessions will be delivered by a qualified UKCC Level 2 gymnast coach.
