Eyemouth Leisure Centre

We are delighted to advise that we are to upgrade some elements in the Eyemouth Leisure Centre.

These works will include replacing the roof tiles in the pool hall, modernise our reception and seating area, redecorating key areas and improved lighting.

To allow for these essential maintenance and upgrade works, our Swimming Pool and Sauna will unfortunately need to close from Monday 24 January for up to eight weeks.

We would like to acknowledge and apologise for the short notice for these refurbishment works. Availability of contractors and building supplies has seen us bring this project forward. Undertaking the works now also allows us to have the refreshed pool open for the Easter holidays.

The Leisure Centre Gym will extend its normal opening hours (see below) and Studio Fitness Classes will run as normal during this time.

We do understand this will inconvenience some of our users, and to reflect the disruption to our service, we have taken steps to modify your next two membership payments. These modifications have already been made by our team and you do not need to do anything.

For Swim Only Memberships

We have frozen all direct debits so no payment will be taken in February or March while the pool is closed.
Swim only members will still be able to access other Live Borders swimming pools during this time, free of charge.

Learn to Swim

We apologise that swimming lessons will be postponed during these redevelopment works. Your next two direct debit payments will not be taken to reflect the temporary reduction in lessons.

We fully appreciate that ongoing practice will positively impact your child’s swimming development, and children are encouraged to use their membership card for free access to any of our other swimming pools over these weeks.

Please keep an eye on social media and emails, and we will endeavour to put on some replacement activities during this period.

One Club Memberships

We will reduce our One Club membership payments by one third, to reflect the closure of the swimming pool. The reduced fee will be in place for your next two direct debit payments.

Our gym will remain open during these works and the fitness classes will continue as scheduled. Please stay tuned to our social media channels and monitor your emails, if circumstances change we will keep you up to date through these channels.

ELC Gym 

To keep you active and moving during this time, we have extended the gym opening hours during the refurbishment works. Please note, there will be no showers or changing facilities available during the refurbishments.

Monday – Friday: 07:00 – 20:00
Saturday – Sunday: 08:00 – 13:00

Members are reminded that they can make use of other Live Borders swimming pool and fitness venues, including Kelso Swimming Pool.
