Heart of Hawick

Formerly a disused spinning mill featuring a 14-foot high Victorian waterwheel - thought to be the oldest in Southern Scotland - Tower Mill has been completely transformed into Hawick’s premier entertainment venue, returning cinema to the town for the first time in almost 25 years.

A 108 seat auditorium screens quality crowd-pleasers and family films, foreign language and arthouse showings as well as broadcasts of the latest productions from the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company and Royal Opera House. We also host some wonderful performances with live music every Monday and a live theatre programme throughout the year.

To book tickets for any event or film at Tower Mill please book online, call our box office on 01450 360688 or visit Tower Mill in person.

To see the latest programme, download it from the right-hand side of this page or please visit our events page.

From Mary Queen of Scots to The Favourite, live comedy to the 6 Nations, we have something for everyone in our February programme:

Tower Mill Café Bar
At the heart of a converted spinning mill, Tower Mill café bar is a spacious and relaxing environment for customers to meet up with friends and family or enjoy a moment to themselves.

The café has a great wee menu to suit all. The pizzas are proved, rolled and fired onsite, with a home-made tomato ragu. We use local produce everywhere we can, including luxurious cakes from a local baker.

Hot dogs, ice cream, popcorn and other confectionery are also available and you can take food and drink into the cinema with you while you enjoy a movie! The same goes for our drinks list of wines, local spirits and beers.

Barista style coffees from local roaster, Three Hills Coffee, are expertly served, and this focus on locality and quality of service is a great example of our café’s ethos.
