We are pleased to bring to you our Souters’ Routes Guided Walks, where our Museum and Galleries guides will take you back through time as you walk the streets of Selkirk. Learning about Selkirk’s local heritage and associated characters – human, ghostly and canine!
Take the same footsteps as Sir Walter Scott did once himself and discover Selkirk’s connections to Sir Walter Scott as you are guided through the town taking in the thrilling stories connected to his role in dispensing law and order in Selkirkshire.

Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
Additional Information
- Weekend Guided Talks/Walks are easy to moderate and last approximately 90 minutes.
- Please be prepared for wet weather.
- No refreshments or toilets are available on the walks.
- All walkers are advised to be prepared to encounter some gentle hills, uneven ground and varying outdoor environments.
- Guided Walks may finish out of the town centre. This is intended to give walkers the option to explore further, independently, or to make their way back into town at their own pace at the end of the walk.
