Knit a Woolscape
Have you ever knitted, purled or crocheted items inspired by the landscape of where you live?
Lots of you have been in awe of the St Abbs Woolscape exhibition at Old Gala House which showcased items inspired by the seaside - beautiful jellyfish, rock pools and seascapes adorn ceilings and walls alike - it really is something to behold.
So by popular demand we thought you'd like to know you can contribute to the Woolscape project by knitting some items inspired by the lovely town of Galashiels. Whether you've never knitted before or you are a superb stitcher, you're bound to enjoy the fabulous workshops being held by Jennie Howes of Skybluepink Designs.
Have a look at some of the images to the right for inspiration. What will you create? Perhaps a miniature Gala Day ribbon? or what about a little fox and some ‘soor plooms’? or maybe something inspired by our new railway? The possibilities are endless!
