£1.9 million Investment in Borders Sport Agreed

A four year partnership confirming £1,906,263 investment in sport in the Scottish Borders was signed this week by Scottish Borders Council, sportscotland and Borders Sport and Leisure.


Young Coach Programme - the Class of 2015

Free Sporting Taster Session for Selkirk Community

Selkirk Community Sports Hub will host its first “Come and Try” fun day for everyone in the town. Taking place on Saturday July 11th, the free event will provide a taster of an array of different sports including bowling, archery, canoeing and cricket with local clubs hosting each session.


Borders Elite Swim Team - Performance Development Coach

The Scottish Borders Elite Swim Team Management Committee is seeking to appoint a Swimming Coach to take the leading role in performance development swimming within the Scottish Borders region. This exciting position is the result of co-operation between Borders Sport and Leisure Trust, Scottish Swimming and swimming clubs in the region (Kelso ASC, Peebles ASC, Galashiels ASC, and Hawick & Teviotdale ASC)


Boccia Boost for Borders

16 June 2015

Borders Sport and Leisure and Borders Disability Sports Group will host the region's first Open Boccia Competition at the Queens Leisure Centre on August 29th. The event will form part of the Scottish Disability Sports Boccia Series - a number of competitions held prior to the National Championships. Featuring three sections: physical disability, learning disability and players who uses assisted ramps, it is expected to attract participants from across Scotland in addition to local residents.


Borders Teams Score at Festival of Football

Over 100 football teams from across the Scottish Borders took part in the 2015 Borders Sport and Leisure Festival of Football held at the 3G Arena on June 7th.


Disability Tennis Festival a Hit
