SHE RALLIES NATIONAL DAY

Tennis Scotland and the LTA are delighted to be bringing the National 'She Rallies' Day to Galashiels on Friday, 8 June.

Three courses will run on the day between 10:00 and 17:00 at the Borders Tennis Centre.

She Rallies' is Judy Murray's flagship programme to attract more women and girls to the game of tennis by creating more opportunities from the grass roots up. Whether an existing tennis coach, teacher, parent, student, youth worker, brownie leader or an enthusiastic club member, Judy has designed four courses as part of 'She Rallies.'

During the course of the day there will be a Lunch/Networking and Q&A with Judy Murray from 13:30 which is open to all who sign up for a course.

We hope to see many of you there for what is sure to be a fantastic event.

Tennis Development in the Scottish Borders is strategically managed by the Borders Tennis Development Group in Partnership with Live Borders, Tennis Scotland and the Border Tennis Clubs.

The Borders has an ambitious 3 year Tennis Development plan with 2 clear aims:-

“Develop a clear pathway for players of all abilities to train, play and compete”

Contained within the plan are 7 key areas to be focussed on which include Club Development, Competition, Club & Volunteer Development, Education & Development, Player Pathway, Facilities and Promotion & Communication.

The  development plan for Tennis will ensure that the game is Governed strongly to ensure that the pathway for players is clearly established, opportunities to play are created at all levels and abilities and the facilities are upgraded to meet with the modern demands for tennis, this plan has been designed to ensure it makes it a difference to players, facilities, coaches and volunteers and above all challenge the way the game is governed and managed.
