Nature as Art Exhibition with Anna Drabner-Graham
Anna is inspired by the energy and beauty of the local landscapes in the Scottish Borders, capturing the world as she sees it – bold, vibrant, and full of movement. She paints in acrylics, using bright, expressive colours that reflect the emotional essence of a place rather than its literal form. Her collage pieces are created with hand-painted, textured papers, layered with acrylic paints and coloured pens, resulting in playful, energetic compositions. She also creates knitted textiles using redundant yarns sourced from local knitwear mills. Crafted on a domestic knitting machine, these pieces add tactile richness and a distinctive material connection to the places within her collection. While her process is fun and intuitive, it also reflects a deep connection to the land around her. Through her unique perspective, she invites viewers to experience familiar scenes in unfamiliar dynamic ways
