Bringing you and our library books together

Connect & Collect Service

Reserve your books today!

Connect & Collect is a FREE service that allows you to search and reserve books through the Live Borders Libraries Online Catalogue, or over the phone, and then pick them up from either our libraries or various pick up points across the Scottish Borders. The pick up points are the designated areas as part of our Mobile Library Routes. Or for any collections from our library buildings, you can find our opening times HERE.

In order to make a reservation either online or over the phone, you will need your library login details. If you are not a member of our libraries, click HERE to sign up, it’s free and easy to join us!

How it works

You can make your reservation over the phone if you don’t have access to a computer or smartphone. To order books over the phone, simply call our Library HQ on 01750 726400 and you will get through to a member of our team, lines are open Monday to Friday 11:00 to 15:00.

Remember and have your membership card or membership number handy as you’ll need this!

When you have made your choices your librarian will let you know the details of how to collect your books when they are ready.

What happens after you have ordered your books?

We will send you an email to let you know when your books are available to collect from our pick-up points. We will include a link in the email with information on where our various pick-up points will be for the coming weeks. If you ordered your books over the phone, you will get a call back or an email with this information.

When you get to our Connect & Collect pick-up point our friendly staff will process your books for you.  If you have books to return to us just bring them along and our staff will deal with them on site.

As well as accessing books through Connect & Collect you can also access 1000’s of reading materials through our eLibrary.
