Step Back in Time with Eric & Chris

Overview

All aboard for a journey into Peebles’ past! Join us for the Historical Guided Walk: Peebles Railways – Take Another Look and step back into the days when trains brought life, energy, and excitement to the Tweed Valley.

Together we’ll visit the sites of all three Peebles railway stations, once busy gateways for industry, travellers, and holidaymakers. Along the way, you’ll hear stories of steam trains, stationmasters, bustling platforms, and the vital role the railway played in shaping the town’s history.

This is more than just a walk – it’s a chance to see familiar streets through fresh eyes, uncover hidden traces of the past, and imagine the buzz of a time when rail travel connected Peebles to the wider world.

Perfect for history enthusiasts, locals, and visitors alike, this guided walk promises fascinating insights and great company.

Don’t miss it – spaces are limited! Step back in time, follow the tracks of history, and experience the story of Peebles railways like never before.

The walk lasts around 90 minutes. We recommend wearing sturdy shoes and dressing appropriately for the weather, as we’ll be outdoors and may encounter uneven paths.
