Forest School Practitioners’ Training: Integrating Maths into Outdoor Learning
Join us for a special training workshop designed for Forest School practitioners and outdoor educators who want to explore creative ways of bringing maths into their practice.
This session is inspired by DGOWL’s Multiply-funded outdoor maths project, which has reached over 5,000 children across 83% of primary schools and most nurseries in Dumfries & Galloway. The project has been so impactful that it was featured in the summer edition of Permaculture Magazine.
What to expect:
A chance to experience hands-on outdoor maths activities with local children during one of the 1-hour Saturday slots. (Please book your space!)
A 2-hour training and discussion session afterwards, focusing on practical ways to weave maths into Forest School sessions.
Ideas, resources, and inspiration to support your own practice.
Who it’s for:
This workshop is ideal for Forest School leaders, early years practitioners, teachers, and anyone passionate about outdoor learning.
