How to let laughter light up your life
Overview
A part of Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2026
Stand-up comedy probably one of the toughest jobs you could do, and the idea of putting yourself on a stage, behind a microphone, and having to ‘perform’ features heavily in people’s top 10 fears. It’s also been proved that learning how to find the funny in your life and talking about your problems through comedy can help raise your confidence and improve mental health and well-being. Join the award-winning Scottish comedian Jojo Sutherland and learn techniques that explore and discover shared experiences, opposing views and different expectations.
Fear leads to more people giving up on their hopes, dreams and ambitions than any other challenge. Over 8 weekly session Jojo will equip you with the salient mental skills to challenge and then manage that fear.
