Live Borders Arts & Creativity promote and develop arts and cultural activities across the Scottish Borders, demonstrating the impact of the arts, culture and creativity on the lives of people and communities in the region..
As a department we strive to help people and communities to discover, celebrate and participate in a range of arts and cultural experiences.
We programme theatre, comedy, dance, live music and a range of other performances into town halls across the region, and the Heart of Hawick. Our workshops are led by professional artists and offer a safe space for self-expression, connecting with others and creativity in a relaxed environment. We administer the Visual Artist and Craft Makers Awards (VACMA) for the south of Scotland, supporting local artists in makers in their practice and professional development.
