Enhanced booking software improves customer experience
Live Borders has recently introduced an enhanced membership booking and payment system for its sports and leisure facilities, thanks to the support of a grant from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda.
The implementation of Gladstone’s cloud-based suite is now delivering an improved booking and payment system, with users already benefitting from a more simplified joining process, reduced barriers to access and improved overall member experience.
Specifically, the funding has enabled the introduction of improved functionality through GladstonePay; bringing direct debit collection in-house instead of through a third-party platform. The introduction of Recurring Card Payments (RCP) module is providing members with a flexible, subscription-style payment method, streamlining transactions, and improving financial efficiency. This payment method is familiar to people who use streaming services and is particularly appealing to our younger demographic and will hopefully encourage sign-up and retention.
This is complemented by the GladstoneGo module which delivers improved online booking functionality, enabling users to find and book classes and activities easily and quickly across all Live Borders sports and leisure centres.
Dashboards will give staff instant access to key data insights, supporting more informed, data driven decision-making which will assist with programming and scheduling of activities to ensure they meet customer needs.
Scott Weir, Head of Commercial at Live Borders said: “Thanks to the support of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund Live Borders has been able to upgrade its membership booking and payment system, a cornerstone of our business.
“The move to Gladstone’s cloud-based suite marks a significant step in Live Borders’s strategy to future-proof operations and deliver modern, accessible and efficient leisure services to our customers.”
