
Exciting Easter Activities for All the Family at Peebles Library, Museum & Gallery
Peebles Library, Museum & Gallery is the perfect destination for a fun-filled family day out this Easter holiday starting from Saturday 5 April and running through until Saturday 19 April 2025. With a fantastic variety of activities, exhibitions, and an artisan gift shop, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
Young visitors can get creative with Easter Drop-in Crafts, embark on an adventurous Treasure Trail, or enjoy magical Storytime Sessions designed to spark imagination and bring stories to life.
For art lovers, the gallery is currently showcasing the Scottish Borders Council’s permanent art collection, including rarely seen pieces that haven’t been displayed for decades. Meanwhile, history enthusiasts can explore the Tweedale’s Treasure exhibition in the Chambers Room, featuring some of the Peebles Museum collection’s finest and rarest artifacts. Families can also discover the incredible plasterwork friezes commissioned by William Chambers, including a 16-metre reproduction of portions of the Elgin Marbles, which has a specially designed activity sheet to keep children entertained while adults immerse themselves in history.
Visitors can also browse our Artisan Gift Shop, stocked with beautiful, handcrafted items—perfect for Easter gifts or a little treat for yourself!
