Live Borders Triathlon Series 2025: A Celebration of Community, Endurance, and Sport
Live Borders is proud to announce the successful completion of the 2025 Triathlon Series, held across three stunning Scottish Borders locations: Galashiels, Selkirk, and Peebles. This year’s series was bigger and more inclusive than ever, featuring 16 individual races, including exciting new additions such as Aqua Bike, Aqua Run, and a Sprint Distance race in Selkirk.
With 782 competitors ranging in age from 7 to 76, the series showcased the incredible diversity and spirit of our local and visiting athletes. Participants swam a combined total of 15,120 lengths, cycled 8,970 kilometres, and ran 2,675 kilometres—all for the love of triathlon and its many variations. The furthest-travelled athlete journeyed an impressive 478 miles to take part—highlighting the reach and reputation of the Live Borders Triathlon Series.
Behind the scenes, the series was powered by 53 dedicated staff members, 58 volunteers from six local organisations, and generous support from our sponsors: Lochcarron of Scotland, Galedin Veterinary, She Can Handyman, Gym Rental Company, NS24, Eildon Housing, KBF Enterprises, Bonnie Barista, Braw Barista, T.P Davidson & Son and Evercharge – Vehicle Charging. Special thanks go to Richard Platt, who facilitated 57 trophy presentations in one local workshop, and to Emma at Print X, who printed 395 t-shirts right here in the Borders.
