Anne Taitt, the Librarian at Earlston High School Library, has achieved a milestone of 40 years working for the service, starting working on 14 August 1978!

After a short spell at Library HQ, she was offered the role of School Librarian at Earlston High, where she has been ever since. Anne has seen a lot of changes in her 40 years at the school; the biggest being packing up the library and moving to the New High School in 2009.

Generations of pupils will remember Anne as Mrs Taitt in the library, and she often meets ex-pupils when she is out and about who are now grown up with families themselves! Away from work,  Anne enjoys spending time with her family, working in her garden, and getting away for a holiday now and again.

Make sure next time you visit our facility in Earlston that you give Anne a massive pat on the back and thank her for her years of excellent work. Thank you Anne!
