Storm in a Teacup

You may have been wondering about our delicious cakes and treats in Heart of Hawick. Read on to find out about the impressive local business who supply us with our sweet treats…

Our fantastic cakes are made by Megan Curran, owner and baker-extraordinaire at Storm in A Teacup! Megan is only 21 years old, and has established a thriving cake business with very little help.

Megan is a Hawick lass, and started her local cake business on 1 May 2017, although her company has grown so much since then. She still makes all the cakes herself; the only help she accepts is from her Mum who helps out with deliveries!

You probably already know Storm in a Teacup for the amazing celebration cakes Megan makes; her creations are marvellous and tailored to every individual.

Check out her wonderful Facebook page for more information, and we highly recommend you pop in for a coffee and a cake to support this young, talented and local businesswoman.

We aren’t the only ones who think she’s the creme-de-la-creme – she’s been nominated for a 2018 Enterprise Award by the Prince’s Trust.

Good luck Megan and thanks for all your hard work to make sure our customers can savour every yummy slice!
