Eclectic Exhibition of Local Talent on Show at Robson Gallery, Halliwell’s House Museum
The Robson Gallery at Halliwell’s House Museum is proud to present “Art and Artists”, a vibrant new exhibition celebrating the diverse and imaginative work of five local contemporary artists: Catriona Andrews, S. Miles, Alan Richmond, Graham Stokes, and Catriona Taylor. This exceptional group exhibition brings together a broad spectrum of painterly styles from striking abstract canvases to intricate pen and ink drawings and bold illustrative work. It offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience the creative energy of five like-minded yet stylistically distinct artists who are exhibiting together for the very first time.
Assistant Curator for Live Borders Phoebe Stewart says: “This exhibition is a true celebration of local creativity. Each artist brings a unique voice and perspective, and together they’ve created something really special. It’s a show full of colour, emotion, and imagination there’s something here for everyone to connect with.”
The exhibition has already received enthusiastic feedback from visitors and art lovers, who describe it as “a visual treat” and “a beautiful show.” The majority of the work on display is available for purchase, making this a perfect opportunity to invest in original artwork from some of the Scottish Borders’ most exciting talents. Whether you’re an art collector, a supporter of local creatives, or simply someone looking for inspiration, “Art and Artists” invites you to see the world through fresh and compelling perspectives. Don’t miss this unique showcase, running now until 21 June 2025, at the Robson Gallery, Halliwell’s House Museum.
