AMPLIFY - How To Be In A Band

Overview

Whether you dream of being in a band, feeling more confident on stage or taking your playing to the next level, this hands-on workshop series is for you. AMPLIFY is all about learning how performing music live really works. You’ll learn the fundamentals of the tech behind a gig, how to bring the band together, connect with the crowd and have the chance perform live on the Heart of Hawick stage. From soundchecks to the spotlight, you’ll develop real-world skills in a supportive, high-energy environment alongside other young musicians aged 14 – 18.  

If you can already play a bit of guitar, bass, drums, keyboard or can see yourself as the singer in a band, this is your chance to get louder, sharper, and stage ready. 

In partnership with The Arches, Live Borders Arts & Creativity and Heart of Hawick.
