Quiet Wonders: A gentle museum morning is a specially scheduled time for visitors who prefer to explore at a slower pace, in a calm and sensory considered environment. 

Enjoy the museum’s collections in a peaceful atmosphere, with adjusted lighting and sound levels, reduced visitor numbers and supportive staff on hand.  

Whether you’re discovering our exhibits for the first time or returning to familiar favourites, this is your time to enjoy the museum in a way that works for you.  

Available in our museums in Peebles, Selkirk, Hawick, Galashiels, Duns and Coldstream. Borders Textile Towerhouse will be unavailable for this service on the first Friday of May (May 1st), as the venue has been hired by Alchemy Film Festival for screenings. We apologise for any inconvenience.
