Annual Exhibition 2026 – Galashiels Studio Club

Galashiels Studio Club is a disparate Art group who paint, practice and develop a diverse range of subjects and techniques in their work, their 2026 exhibition reflects this.  The Club’s meetings usually have a topic of focus at each session throughout the year when they meet at Old Gala House. Still life is a regular subject as is landscape painting amongst others, the subjects can be combined and enhanced using different paint effects, demonstrated by both the Art Club members and visiting artists. The paintings in the exhibition are a commentary of these meetings, augmented by the individual talents of the members. 

As a thank you, Galashiels Studio Club like to invite the professional artists, who have led their seasons sessions, to exhibit a few of their paintings too. Perhaps you may see the influences in the members’ paintings.

Also exhibiting are young artists showcasing The Galashiels Academy. Along with The Rotary Club of Galashiels, The Studio Club give prizes to four pupils from different age groups. Also showing is an impression of the Braw Lads Gathering by one of the younger pupils.
