Workshop- Create Wire Birds- An indoor workshop with Sam Farr
During this three hour workshop, you will be invited to take inspiration from the birds and wildlife of the beautiful gardens at St Ronan’s Wells in Innerleithen to create 3D drawings of birds using wire.
Artist Sam Farr will guide you through some techniques for manipulating and joining wire, as well as incorporating other materials, to help you turn ideas into small artworks.
Participants are welcome to bring sketches or photos as inspiration, or work from imagination. Bring any materials (such as foraged twigs, pebbles, feathers or other small objects) you would like to include in your sculpture, if you wish.
No experience is needed. Wire and pliers will be provided. Some wire will be pliable and easy to work by hand.
