Galashiels Studio Club Annual Exhibition

Saturday 11 May sees the launch of the wonderful Annual Exhibition of Galashiels Studio Club at Old Gala House! Read on to find out more about this vibrant exhibition…

Featuring the talent of new and well-known Border artists, the exhibition includes the work of members, professional local artists, and the winners of the Young Artist Award from Galashiels Academy.

Visitors can expect to see a wide range of work, from landscapes, still life, and portraits to abstract painting: all will be featured in this exciting, varied exhibition.

Phoebe Stewart, our Assistant Curator at Live Borders, had this to say:

“The Annual exhibition of the Galashiels Studio Club work is always very popular with visitors. It’s an excellent opportunity for professional local artists to exhibit their work in a professional gallery and a brilliant opportunity for visitors to see a huge variety of the many talented artists that reside in the Scottish Borders, helping to make communities healthier, happier and stronger.”

The exhibition runs from 11 May to 9 June at Old Gala House, Scott Crescent, Galashiels. Admission is free. Donations to the charity are welcome.

30 March to 31 May, Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 – 16:00. (Closed Sundays and Mondays.)

1 June to 31 August, Monday to Saturday 10:00 – 16:00. Sundays 13:00 – 16:00
