Gymnastic fantastic

Live Borders is inviting young gymnastics hopefuls to a special Open Day at Queens Leisure Centre in Galashiels.

On Saturday 30 November, children and young people will have the exciting opportunity to try the latest new gymnastics equipment for free at Queens Leisure Centre in age-appropriate sessions led by Live Borders coaches.

Live Borders has invested £25,000 in this flagship facility for gymnastics in Galashiels. The new equipment will allow children to focus on and further enhance their ABCs: agility, balance and coordination, and a new programme will provide expert coaching for children from pre-school age through to secondary school.

Olly Robertson, Area Manager for local charity Live Borders told us:

“Live Borders is extremely excited to further develop our successful gymnastics programme at Queens Leisure Centre, Galashiels. With £25,000 of investment, Live Borders is focused on ensuring children of the Borders are happier, healthier and stronger by increasing participation in gymnastics now and for years to come.”

The Open Day will also include inflatables so their will plenty to do for the young ones attending.

Open Day session times:

Preschool: 9:00–10:00

Primary 1-4: 10:00–11:00

Primary 4-S2: 11:00–12:00

No booking is required at these free drop-in sessions.
