Kelso’s splash of colour

Kelso was awash in colour on Friday 29 June with children and many of their parents getting involved in the second Kelso Junior Colour Run.

Close to 130 youngsters took on the assault course, winding through the Kelso Swimming Pool and neighbouring Edenside Primary School on a glorious summer day.

As well as all the fun of a standard colour run, participants worked their way through a series of paint-armed volunteers, obstacles, inflatables and ball skills before finishing the lap with a very popular slip ‘n’ slide.

Children participated in the runs in age groups of 4-8 and then 8-12, with the colour run followed by an inflatable fun session in the swimming pool.

The Kelso team will be hosting another event, a ‘Kids Summer Sports Day’ with a water fight, games, challenges, races and a teddy bear picnic.

The event on July 26 from 11:30, will also include the ever popular slip ‘n’ slide and pool inflatable fun session.
