Live Borders facilities support vaccination programme

Live Borders is working closely with partners in managing the regional response to COVID-19, and our resources are currently at the disposal of Scottish Borders Council and NHS Borders to support response efforts.

In support of the vaccination programme, a number of facilities have been identified to support NHS Borders deliver vaccinations in Wave 3, which is expected to commence mid-February.

The following venues in the Borders have been identified:

NHS Borders and Scottish Borders Council have worked to select these venues based on population size and demographic to ensure that those eligible are able to access their appointment when it is their turn.

All Live Borders services are currently closed, and for the facilities that are to be utilised in the vaccination roll out, they will remain closed to members and public while the vaccination programme is ongoing even if COVID-19 restrictions allow.

We do not know the extent to which facilities will be unavailable but once we have further dates and details we will be in touch with all user groups.

We would like to thank our members and public for their understanding and support in this.

The vaccination roll out is clearly the highest priority and we must support it in every way we can.
