Local Support for Artists and Makers

Local Support for Artists and Makers

Visual Artists and Craft Makers across the country are invited to apply for Bursaries of up to £750 for their creative development. A South of Scotland VACMA scheme supports artists and makers in the Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway and is delivered by Live Borders and Dumfries & Galloway Council in partnership with DGU and Upland.

Funded by Creative Scotland in partnership with a range of local authorities and arts agencies across Scotland, the VACMA bursaries will support artists at all stages of their career to develop their creative practice.  This can include researching a new body of work, experimenting with new materials, attending courses, artistic mentoring, masterclasses and residencies, among other activities.

The deadlines are Tuesday 25 October 2022 and Tuesday 7 February 2023.
