Reece Innes has been part of Live Borders since 22 January at Heart of Hawick. He started as a Modern Apprentice – a scheme which helps employers to develop their workforce by training new staff – but we like him so much he has become a permanent member of the team in his new role as Business Support Assistant!
At 18, Reece is one of our youngest employees and helps out at our cinema hub, Heart of Hawick. His tasks are many and varied, from sorting invoices to managing spreadsheets for the box office, maintaining the website and more. He helps make lives in the Borders healthier, happier and stronger by making films and live events easily accessible for customers, bringing local communities together.
We asked Reece what his favourite part of work was, and amazingly it wasn’t the discount in the cafe! He said:
“I really like the people I work with and helping out the company and the Borders in any way possible.”
The people are Reece’s favourite part about living in the Borders, and he enjoys going out with friends or playing the Xbox in his free time. He also hopes to become a senior business support assistant or venture into management in the future!
Next time you’re in Heart of Hawick say thanks to Reece, and keep your eyes peeled for more blog profiles on our lovely staff soon…
