New Horizons

On 25 May, award-winning artist, Tina Holley opens her new exhibition of landscape paintings at Old Gala House in Galashiels. Read on to find out more about her work!

Watercolour artist, Tina Holley is known for her painstaking detail and fascination with the effects of light on the landscape. Focusing on water, trees, and atmospheres, Tina has painted professionally at home and abroad for over twenty years. Having now settled in the Scottish Borders, she is enjoying exploring and painting a whole new landscape.

Tina said, “I’m new to living in Scotland and I am delighted by the fantastic scenery and enjoying the opportunity to paint this beautiful landscape.”

“We are really looking forward to showcasing Tina’s artwork. Her work focuses light and landscape which lends itself so well to the beautiful Old Gala House,” said Phoebe one of our Assistant Curators at Live Borders.

The exhibition runs from 25 May to 14 July at Old Gala House, Scott Crescent, Galashiels, TD1 3JS. Admission is free, but donations to the charity are welcome.

On Saturday 6 July, visitors can meet Tina and see the artist at work. Talks and demonstrations run from 13:00 to 16:00.

30 March to 31 May, Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 – 16:00. (Closed Sundays and Mondays.)

1 June to 31 August, Monday to Saturday 10:00 – 16:00. Sundays 13:00 – 16:00
