Statement from Live Borders

We have temporarily closed the pitch at the Greenyards in Melrose following a confirmed case of COVID-19.

The pitch will remain closed until Monday 21 September. All facilities will be thoroughly cleaned prior to reopening.

Live Borders was notified by the Melrose Rugby Club on Thursday that an individual had tested positive for Coronavirus.

Melrose Rugby Club has temporarily closed all facilities at the club and ceased all activity, including rugby training at other sites, while a full risk assessment is carried out. 

The club has also been in contact with all those people who may have come into contact with the individual and are ready to assist the NHS Track and Trace team with any information they might require.
