Visit the Jim Clark Motorsport Museum in Duns, Berwickshire and step into the world of Scotland’s first Formula One World Champion. This award-winning attraction celebrates the life, career and legacy of Jim Clark, one of the greatest racing drivers in motorsport history.
During an extraordinary 11-year career, Jim Clark secured two Formula One World Championships, won the Indianapolis 500 and dominated circuits across the world throughout the 1950s and 60s.
Whether you’re a motorsport enthusiast or planning a family day out in the Scottish Borders, this vibrant museum offers a unique and inspiring experience for visitors of all ages.

Interactive Experiences
Our interactive museum experience allows you to explore Jim Clark’s career and personal life, all set in Duns, the area where he grew up and farmed.
Jim Clark Racing Simulator
Take the driver’s seat and experience the thrill of 1960s racing:
- Drive a Formula One car at Brands Hatch or Monza
- Race a Lotus Cortina at Crystal Palace or Knockhill
- Choose between Rookie or Champion mode depending on your experience
Please note there is an additional fee to use the simulator.
Family Friendly Activities
Kids Trail: ‘Lap of the Museum’
Children can explore the museum by spotting hidden toy cars throughout the exhibits, ticking them off on their map to earn a champion sticker.
This activity is free with the purchase of a family or child ticket.

Community and Events
Alzheimer Scotland Racing Reminiscence
We are proud to support Alzheimer Scotland through the Racing Reminiscence programme, offering a welcoming and supportive space for people affected by dementia.
Sessions include:
- Social interaction and conversation
- Motorsport memories using photographs and memorabilia
- A relaxed and friendly environment
Sessions are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 2PM to 4PM.
