Welcome to the Mobile Libraries Information page!

Notice to customers:   

One of our community Mobile vans is currently undergoing repairs after it was involved in a small collision. 

We will be running a 4 weekly rota as a result of this to make sure all runs get covered as much as possible.

This is not the start to the year we had hoped to have and we are extremely sorry for the disruption this will cause.

Normal service will resume as soon as possible.

There are three Mobile Libraries currently serving the Scottish Borders, with two vehicles stopping at selected sites every 2 weeks and one visiting rural primary schools every 4 weeks.

Over on the right there, you will find our current timetables for the East and West routes as well as the upcoming, updated timetables beginning in Jan 2026.

As well as hopping on board and browsing the shelves, you can request books online using our Click and Collect Service! and pick them up from any of the Mobiles stops as well as Morebattle shop or The Ancrum Pantry. This is a great alternative to allow you to browse the full catalogue in the comfort of your own home, just select MBLIB as the pick-up location when you order online.
