Welcome to the Mobile Libraries Information page!

Notice to customers:   

One of our community Mobile vans is currently undergoing repairs after it was involved in a small collision. 

We will be running a 4 weekly rota as a result of this to make sure all runs get covered as much as possible.

This is not the start to the year we had hoped to have and we are extremely sorry for the disruption this will cause.

From January 19th to 29th the West area routes will be covered.

There are three Mobile Library vans currently serving the Scottish Borders, with the two community vans covering a wide range of our beautiful countryside and stopping at selected sites every 2 weeks as well as a designated van visiting rural primary schools every 4 weeks. Over on the right there, you will find our current timetables for the East and West routes. Click on the map below to see our coverage in more detail.

As well as hopping on board and browsing the shelves, you can request books online using our Click and Collect Service! and pick them up from any of the locations as well as Morebattle shop or The Ancrum Pantry. This is a great alternative to allow you to browse the full catalogue in the comfort of your own home, just select MBLIB as the pick-up location when you order online.
