Performing Arts Partnership

Performing Arts Partnership (PAP) supports, promotes and develops Performing Arts activity across the Scottish Borders. PAP works in partnership with local and national organisations, third parties and the voluntary sector for projects in community and education settings.

The Performing Arts Partnership promotes equality, social inclusion, active citizenship and healthy living.

Providing expertise:

  • Classes, workshops and residencies led by professional performers and educators
  • Facilitating access to skills training for practitioners Offering courses for 14 – 25yr olds enhancing examination portfolios (Gaining Youth Achievement Award and Leadership qualifications
  • Career Guidance
  • Curriculum support for Dance and Drama tuition in primary, secondary and tertiary settings

  • Working with companies, performers and venues to develop, deliver and support touring theatre / dance productions and performances
  • Co-ordinating large scale showcase events for the region


Strong links with the arts constituency and the community partnerships of the Scottish Borders to support experiences and events that enrich people’s experience of the performing arts

  • Facilitating engagement opportunities across our rural communities for young and old
  • Delivering creative and innovative youth participation projects
  • Exploring collaborative working opportunities with national providers for creative performing arts activity in the Borders for film, drama, dance and music
  • Working in close partnership with Borders Youth Theatre and Scottish Borders Dance to develop open access workshop programmes across the region
